District 28 posts local non-profit and community partner flyers here in the District's "Virtual Backpack." This approach allows us to provide information about community programs in a way that is environmentally friendly and cost-effective. Please note that District 28 is making this information available as a courtesy and to provide information about local events and programs in our community. Materials posted on this page are the responsibility of the organizations represented.  Principals offer links to new events in their weekly e-news. District-wide Events

PACSS Pop-Up Events 

The District 28 Parent Advisory Council for Student Services is hosting Night-Out and Coffee Meet-Ups in November and December. Pop-up events are a place for parents to support and get to know one another in a relaxed, fun setting. Details, times and dates are included on the flier.

Rotary "Coat Off Your Back" Clothing Drive

District 28 schools are partnering with the Northbrook Rotary Club to collect GENTLY USED and NEW coats and clothing items. Collection  barrels are located in the lobby of each school. The collection drive will run through Dec. 21.

Community Events

NSYMCA Holiday Extravaganza

The North Suburban YMCA is hosting a holiday party from 3 to 6 p.m. on Dec. 10. Click for details 

Holocaust Survivor Talk

Steen Metz, a frequent visitor to NBJH sixth grade, will share his memories of a childhood in a Nazi Concentration camp at the Illinois Holocaust Museum at 12:30 p.m. Dec. 10. Click for details.

Park District Hosts Holiday Events

Northbrook Park District is planning a Gingerbread Workshop, Breakfast With Santa and Santa's mailbox. Click for details.
